Fun With Image Search #38: Songs

Holy shitballs! Yes, that is right, FUN WITH IMAGE SEARCH IS BACK!

For those of you who may have forgtten, Fun With Image Search is where our users use the image search feature of a search engines such as Yahoo!, Google, or AltaVista. We type in a search term. Then we look for the Three I's: The most irrelevant, irreverent, and outright insane pictures!

The theme of this edition is Song Titles. I established myself some rules:

1. Type in just the song title. I try to pick relatively well known songs.
2. Use whatever the first result was in Google Image Search
3. Post the some of lyrics to go with the image to see if maybe it matches. I go with the chorus or bridge usually, and if there is no chorus or bridge, I go with the more memorable lyrics that most people know."

Songs of the The Beatles Presented in Graph Form

The Beatles are probably the single most influential band in rock history, establishing a lot of what we expect out of rock stars and the whole sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll lifestyle. You can probably trace your favorite rock band's influences back to The Beatles.

So, much like some of the rap song graphs you will see out there, I wanted a shot at graphing several artists' key songs such as the Beatles.

If you don't have Excel, Access, or whatever, I found a great online Graph Generator: http://nces.ed.gov/nceskids/CreateAGraph/

lolCommute is devoted to mocking the people who torment you on your commute to and from work by talking too loudly on their cell phone or to the person next to them. They deserve to be publicly chided for their hideous offense!

Here is how the game is played:

Once someone annoys you by talking loudly on the phone take out your cell phone and discreetly snap a picture of them. (Hint: Turn the sound on your phone down so it doesn’t audibly click when you take a picture)
Edit the picture with a funny caption like you would on lolCats or lolThulhu. Funny and/or clever language
encouraged, no cursing please. You can also send the picture to me and tell me about your experience and I’ll edit it. Please blur out any recognizable face except the offender’s as those people have certainly suffered enough.
Send this all in to me here and I’ll post it for everyone to see.Be sure to mention which form of transportation you were on (i.e., SF Muni, NYC MTA, VTA).

Google Image Search is a great resource for both looking for relevant and totally irrelevant pictures!

In fact, Fun With Images column started off as simply Fun With Image Search where we would find irrelevant pictures to search terms. However, we have evolved from that and Fun With Images has went on to all sorts of things.

Today, we are going to take a classic scout song and sing it to you as Google Image Search would sing it to you! What I did was type in the word and pic the first working non-XXX picture.

The 2008 Elections are almost finally here. As America, I think many of us can share the sentiment... "THANK GOD!"

WYLFWT.com as an entity does not endorse any particular candidate, but we do endorse VOTING. Our authors and users are encouraged to speak their minds here on this free speech website... whether you support Barack Obama, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, Ron Paul, or even Cynthia McKinney.

Over the year, you will probably run into several articles, and I strongly encourage our users to submit!

However, when making this post, I ran into the first picture you will see here, and was inspired to find some pictures that I found either funny or just plain old ironic. Ingenious Movie Ideas

Some people like to tell me I am a genius. I agree with them 100%. I am a genius!

So, looking at the state of motion pictures, I got to thinking about some movie ideas! We all know that nobody pays tickets to see a movie with an original plotline. We want sequels and spin-offs, baby! So, here are some fantastic movie ideas by yours truly. I have printed the concept poster art and my little plot synopsis below the poster. Hey movie studios, are you reading? Then get on with it!

First one, lets make a sequel to one of the most popular films of recent memory.

PLOT SYNOPSIS:It is the 2007 annual birthday of our lord and savior, Jesus Christ. On the eve of his birthday, a terrible storm was brewing. Lightning struck a random tomb in New York, which was actually holding the corpse of Jesus Christ (Rob Zombie). Finally rising onto earth as a zombie, Jesus remembers his treatment in his final days, and it is time to extract his revenge on the City of New York. Detective Ashton (Keanu Reeves) investigates the shocking truth as to how he is back, why he is back, and what his plans are for the future.

Welcome to Fun With Image Search 31! We celebrate... FREEDOM!

A couple weeks ago, there was a HUGE online war between The WYLFWT.com Army and MyLight. It was the battle of stupidity and narrow mindedness against Freedom, Liberties, and Rights. Of course, we won like only The WYLFWT.com Army can! (Rather quickly, too).

So, for this Image Search... we celebrate freedom with what The Search Engines give us. The search terms are either for or against freedom in some fashion, abstract or literal. Some of the results I found were actually shocking (a few distasteful such as the first one). But hey, I can't control technology!

It is the 30th edition of everyone's favorite picture humor column. Yes, that's right, after several delays...Fun With Image Search XXX has finally arrived! WOO!

In this edition there are basically two themes. First one is that since this is edition XXX...the search term theme is XXX. DUN DUN DUN! I am pretty sure you put 2 and 2 together on what that entails. The other theme is that since this is edition 30, we will have 30 results. That means that people can also go completely random on what they would like. So, we will take breaks from the theme to go to randomness. DUN DUN DUN!

Okay, perhaps, I'm getting carried away. I am sure its a non-issue at this point. Happy Halloween everybody! The one day of the year where people don't even budge when someone casually walks around with a hatchet in their head. The one day of the year where kids get enough candy that should get through way past Christmas...provided they don't get nothing but candy corn. The one day of the year where video rental stores everywhere are cleaned out of their horror movies.

So...with us having Fun With Image Search returning to its roots, I decided that this theme be DARK...EVIL...HORROR!

I am sure its a non-issue at this point. However, for those once again who don't know what Image Search is, it is where The Image Search panel use the image search feature of a search such as Yahoo!, Google, or AltaVista. we type in a search term. Then we look for the Three Is. The most irrelevant, irreverent, and outright insane picture!

So...lets us get to the results. At the end, I am announcing next edition's theme. I think for the 30th edition, you are going to LOVE this one.

Fun With Image Search #28- The Screensaver of RJ45

Welcome to Fun With Image Search #27! This is the last "oddball" edition before we return to the traditional format! In fact, the theme for the next edition is announced at the end of this column! As for this edition, I was inspired me when my internet was down at home.

I have a screensaver, like everyone else. Mine utilizes Webshots' slideshow. Basically, you can customize your own screensaver. I switched to that after I maxed out Microsoft's default slideshow. I guess it can only handle like 3000 pictures, and my Webshots is presently up to 19,436 pics! Yeah, I didn't go overboard on that in the least bit.

I downloaded several picture packs and just imported them into the screensaver. I went through them, but there is always room for human error. Not only that, but some of the pictures I decided to import were also a little odd. Some of these pictures are a little on the silly side, or not exactly the greatest thing to pop on the screen when your girlfriend is in the room. "I can explain!"

Welcome to Fun With Image Search #27! Today we are concluding our three-part Bad Album Art special!

I wanted to cover something that we all love. That is none other than music. Each and every one of us loves music. We have our favorite artists. When you follow your favorite artists, one of the most exciting moments is always the "new album." The new beats, singles, music videos, classics, and...THE ALBUM ART. Sometimes, we get an all-time classic such as The Beatle's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band or Nirvana's Nevermind. Sometimes, we get your average cover that doesn't exactly blow you away but is still passable such as Metallica's Garage Inc. Then...we get the tragedies such as 90% of all 80s Hair Band covers.. This edition covers those absolute tragedies of album covers.

I have to be honest with you all, it has been a lot of fun putting this series together. Next edition will be another special edition, and then we will return to the classic format!

Ahh, the 80s. Acid wash jeans, Rambo knives, ALF, and tacky butt rock...boy, weren't those the days? Come on. You know you there is some cliché from the 1980s that you are a diehard fan of. Being an individual who was born in the 1980s, it has a special place in my heart.

So here we are, the 24th edition of Fun With Image Search, and I decided that the last Image Search panel-dependant edition be a tribute to the 80s.

Yeah, that's right. This is the last edition DEPENDANT on the Image Search panel. They are all still welcome to participate! I want to take #25 in a different direction, but I still am not sure. Any suggestions on how to spice the column up a bit? (I do this about every 8 editions of this thing).

For those individuals who are still in the dark, Fun With Image Search's premise is where we go to a search engine feature such as Google or Yahoo's image search feature. We type in some search terms, and look for the most irrelevant, irreverent, insane, and this case...delightfully tacky results.
