You Might not Be Willing to Chop That Long

A couple of years ago, Capcom released Dead Rising on the XBOX360. It was a surprisingly good game that really showcased what the 360 was capable of at the time. Putting hordes of zombies on screen and giving you a million ways to play. The game has now been down scaled for the Wii to give people a new way to experience Dead Rising.

You play as Frank West, who has come to Colorado to get the story of a lifetime. If he survives, that is. You begin by being dropped off at a mall where most of the inhabitants have taken up residents. The ones who aren't yet the walking undead. After a series of events, the mall itself becomes overrun with zombies with few survivors to be seen. You have 72 hours to survive and get your story. But you're not just up against zombies. Throughout the game you'll run into survivors who have gone crazy.

WYLFWT.com Video Digest: State of the Union

This is the excellent music video for The Pick's song "State of the Union" featured on his album "Tree" from his Juno Sound Project. I made it back in 2006.

It will be included either as part of the main feature or as an extra on the WYLFWT.com 2009 DVD. I might remix it or even make a sequel. I don't know yet.

I was inspired by his excellent folk song to make this video. Keep in mind this was in the heart of the Bush era. My whole focus was to show "The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Getting a video of Hitler, at the time, meant I had to visit a Nazi website. Yeah, I really really hated it. The video itself is creepy. Anybody who compares anyone such as Bush or even Obama (yeah, I know, idiots) to Hitler has no clue as to what the fuck they are talking about. Watch one of these videos. There is nothing but absolute hate there.

The first edition of Lame @$$ Cooking was mostly focusing on the comedic "suggestive" relationship between SpicyMan and Mortis. The food we made was gross, but we could at least manage it.

Well, people have asked me what the hell that was. To be truthful, it was one of those things that seemed really funny at the time you were making it, and then later it is a huge "What the fuck?!"

This is set to go on as an extra on the hopelessly deadlocked WYLFWT.com DVD 2007. Right now, the video is on hold until someone is willing to take over the project altogether (from filmming to editing to DVD production. I just want to be a performer and contribute ideas every now and then).

A couple years ago, Flare purchased a blue brontosaurus pinata. I've ranted about this piece of shit before. The summer before Flare left for college, I randomly got inspired with a really dumb idea.

"Hey Flare, lets take random shots of the pinata in locations around our home!"

So, we grabbed the camcorder and started shooting. Why? We don't know. I, especially, don't know. It just seemed like the most hilarious thing, EVER.

Well, my name is Dan and I started a production 'company' back in 2005 when I first started making "flash" (and i use the term flash loosely here). The company was originally called 'Tetherknife Productions" a name made up when I was bored and coming up with original ways to commit suicide. After this I made 2 movies of which we will not discuss. After a while of no movie making me and Cam made a movie called 'Ballroom Blitz.' This is a poorly made lip-syncing video. I got some good comments on it, so we did another one called 99 Problems. This one was made with more people (Nate, Seth, Bennett), and same as before we got some good comments about it.

Back in 2004, everyone in my social circle got really excited for the Next Generation DVD when I unveiled the first part of the opening trailer for the vid .

The year is now 2006. According to various sources such as SpicyMan, FlareHolyMeteo, 5iN, The Pick, KatieBug, Brynna, and others...it appears as if I have done it again! My preview audience has given me an excellent response with a nice critique, and I am very pleased with the results. What exactly am I talking about? I am talking about the first half of the opening trailer for WYLFWT.com: The Video 2006! It is very much a journey through trippiness!

I was listening to a song on the way home from work on my CD player, and was struck with a little inspiration. I came up with this idea for what many people have called "Pleasure Overload" or "The Ultimate Expression of Hype."

Well, let me take you from the beginning of the video to the end.

Oh boy, here we go. This skit's inspiration came from a variety of different sources and had input from just about everybody involved.

Around that summer, Marilyn Manson had a commercial on MTV. It involved him saying some rather megalomaniacal things to a very small bird, and he kissed it. Meanwhile, back in the real world, Josh purchased a Happy Meal from McDonalds, and got a Teletubby. Many of us were talking about making fun of the occult.

Hence forth, came this rather demented skit. At the last minute, Josh insisted that we play a CD that he had. He apparently found this CD "in a shopping cart full of CDs laying in the middle of a random road." I am pretty sure that means he stole it from somebody, but we will never know. The song that we ended up playing was "The Ultra Violence" by Death Angel. It really worked with the entire thing and really kept us all going.

Meanwhile, the government, represented by "Government Man," is desparately seeking these two guys down before the JFK conspiracy gets out.

I think I have been over this one a hundred times, but for those unaware, the Would You Like Fries With That? column had advertisement satires. They were called TPPP (True Psycho Phreak Products). One of the products was "The Box."

In this 2 part series of posts, we will be posting the famous BOX Skits. Part 1 will feature videos from "WYLFWT? - The Home Video" (made in 1999 when we were 15) and part 2 will be from the rest of the videos.

Anyway, here is the exact advertisement from the original column:

"TPPP (True Psycho Phreak Products), your creative marketing geniuses have put yet another product to the public. It's a BOX! Not just any box, you can put stuff in this box. ALL KINDS OF STUFF! Books, magazines, clothes, toilet paper, action figures, fingernails, and even Pringle's Chips. I mean, you can find just about 550 uses for the BOX! So get your BOX today, 7 dollars for each BOX!"

So we got the camera, picked what was possibly the worst angle in the living room, and shot the BOX. The only idea we had was Justin grabbing it and hitting himself over the head with it.
