This Burning Earth Promotion Campaign
Well, with the guys finishing up the album, and sure to begin a few concerts here and there, we gotta think of some ways to help get This Burning Earth\'s name out there some more. You see, even though The Pick wanted to keep his release low key.
However, I know that this release could potentially mean big things for both This Burning Earth AND WYLFWT? I am sure its no big secret I want to eventually turn WYLFWT into a business. I am not sure what I want to sell, but perhaps representation and/or promotion is a start.
Its also no big secret that This Burning Earth have a great sound and can go very far. They have been busting their ass for the past year working and practicing. They didn't just jump into this head first. They took their time to get a nice well-rounded sound. I heard a lot of potential in their early stuff (the first RBE demo). I took into consideration all of the technology issues they were having and knew that, if given the right stuff, they could kick ass. I think anyone listening to Malice or Abducted can agree with me on that.
SO...to begin...
- I am going to establish a small website for them. Nothing huge. Just something for the fans to send feedback to the band and such. Banners will be featured on WYLFWT.com. If I never get the site established, I will at least feature the banners. Anyone care to take on an animted banner?
- Old School Flyers are always fun. We find similar concerts in the area (I hear Sevendust is coming to town, for instance). We liter some parking lots!
- Anybody know what it takes to get a local band at Co-Op?
- MySpace, of course, is a good tool. How about some other tools as well? Any suggestions?
Any other suggestions to get the TBE name out there and push sales? Anything unique, wild, or possibly a new endeavor no one has tried before?
Also, Benton, what are the plans for printing the album? I can ask The Pick what he got as he scored a pretty good deal.

It doesn't take much for
It doesn't take much for cd's at Co-op to happen. I talked to the guys there and they told me we just need to iron out the details and sign an agreement, and make sure that we can keep 'em in stock.
I'll come up with something crazy too, that sounds like a good idea
I also found out
I also found out who The Pick went through. DiskFactory.com
I was thinking possibly getting a spindle of CD-Rs and get some paper sleeves and burning like a two track sampler and handing them out. To who, I don't know. Perhaps anyone wearing a metal t-shirt? (e.g. Pantera, Cradle of Filth, KoRn, Slipknot, etc.)
Coming up with a possible
Coming up with a possible press package and sending them off to reviewers is also a good idea. Perhaps I could persuade 5iN to give you guys a FREE Photoshoot so we could package a photo in there. You know...in return for all of the nice favors I have done for him like 5iN Studios's new design. :-D
If not, I know you guys have a lot of connections.
You definitely need a band picture. That's a fact.
Free Photo shoot only
Free Photo shoot only available if RJ and I get to film a music video for you guys and I get a credit in the CD liner
I think that sounds
I think that sounds reasonable
DONE AND FUCK YEAH
DONE AND FUCK YEAH DONE!!
AWESOME GUYS!!
I can't spend much time thinking about it right now, cuz I'm at work, but that sounds fuckin awesome!!
...and you're totally right RJ, we do need pics...
