If you ever get the urge to read through the bible, tally up all the times God kills versus how many times Satan kills. In the entire book. God is responsible for the death of over 2,270,365 people.
As for Satan? 10. Just 10. Another thing to note is that Satan generally offers a quick painless death while God murders babies and burns entire villages. I have also noticed that Satan is kind enough to appear in person to discuss things. And he/she also seems to be very polite every time. God never shows his face and throws childish fits every time he speaks.
This kind of reminds me of those old Japanese monster movies. The villain never really kills anyone, he just talks a lot of shit. Then the good guy goes in for the final fight and winds up destroying hundreds of buildings with his giant robot. I bet there are only two people that understood that.
Satan also gave the gift of knowledge through the “forbidden fruit”. This concept could have even evolved from the story of Prometheus. Prometheus gave fire to man and was punished by the other gods for it. Except in Greek mythology, they respect such an act. So I guess my question is why did God not want us to think? Is this some kind of allegory for thinking to hard and dispelling the myth of the bible entirely with logic?
God: 2,270,365 deaths, creation of pain and suffering
Satan: 10 deaths, gave knowledge to man
