Was This Review Helpful To You? #13: Billboard Charts

Your eyes do not deceive you, it is a brand new edition of "Was This Review Helpful To You?"

For those unaware, Was This Review Helpful To You? makes fun of some of the reviews posted on Amazon.com. On Amazon.com, basically anyone that knows how to type can write a review. Some of them are pretty impressive and some of them are a complete joke. I,of course, pick out the complete joke of a review. They don't provide any information as to why they like or not like something. They go on totally unrelated to the actual product tangents (e.g. "Lars Ulrich is a greedy douche bag. Metallica's ...And Justice For All gets 1 Star!") The grammar may be horrible. It could be anything. If it totally taints a review, that is where I come in! However, sometimes I pick out my favorites as well, but I will note that in my comments.

Lets face it, the music that is in the Top Billboard Charts, for the most part, sucks! Its good marketing that gets them there, not good music. In fact, I wanted to take a look at the reviews of some of these albums to see if maybe I am missing something. ;-)

It's a bad cd and that's being nice about it. Most of the songs are old songs redone with lyrics changed. Search around for his other songs and discover worst songs that he could have put on this cd.
There is maybe one or two decent songs on this cd.

He just did what others (Mims, T-Pain, Rich Boy and Bow Wow) have done make a song that gets turned into ring tones, gets played at sporting events and a dance that gets banned at schools. He took the hype and rushed this cd out.

And to those that said Tupac and other rappers from the 90s were worst than Soulja Boy. Sorry most of those guys had messages behind their lyrics. I don't remember Tupac telling girls to smell his behind like Soulja Boy does in a song left off this cd. He didn't encourage beating teachers up for a grade.

Just another cd making real hip hop and rap look bad since the real artists (Common, Lupe, Nas Mos Def and others) can't get their music played since they are bragging about crap.

Was This Review Helpful To You? YES... this is actually a helpful review and I wanted to include it because it encouraged me to listen to the song "Crank Dat."

HORRIBLE.

And this guy appears to be a connoisseur of the genre, so I know it ain't just this old metal head that thinks Soulja Boy is really a Poser Boy.

I don't get why everyone hates cd's that are "radio friendly"! Why is a cd or song not any good if it's mainstream/radio friendly???? Who cares... if it's good music, it's good music. Everyone seems to think it has to be some kind of underground, outlaw stuff to be any good. Whateva!

We hate it because it actually sucks.
