Fun With Image Search #27 - Bad Album Art, Conclusion

Welcome to Fun With Image Search #27! Today we are concluding our three-part Bad Album Art special!

I wanted to cover something that we all love. That is none other than music. Each and every one of us loves music. We have our favorite artists. When you follow your favorite artists, one of the most exciting moments is always the "new album." The new beats, singles, music videos, classics, and...THE ALBUM ART. Sometimes, we get an all-time classic such as The Beatle's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band or Nirvana's Nevermind. Sometimes, we get your average cover that doesn't exactly blow you away but is still passable such as Metallica's Garage Inc. Then...we get the tragedies such as 90% of all 80s Hair Band covers.. This edition covers those absolute tragedies of album covers.

I have to be honest with you all, it has been a lot of fun putting this series together. Next edition will be another special edition, and then we will return to the classic format!

This edition, I am hitting some of your favorite bands, some "OH YEAH! I forgot about him," and a few oddballs. I think you will dig! Now, why don't we start off with an artist all of us loves to hate?

1. "Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em" by MC Hammer

    Stop! URKEL TIME!

2. "Prince" by Prince

    Prince in his 70s porn star look. I have one thing to ask, though...why does he insist on being naked everywhere? To quote 5iN, "Prince makes doves cry and baby Jesus isn't too happy either..."

3. "Smashes, Thrashes, and Hits" by KISS

    HANDS...HANDS EVERYWHERE! Oh the horror!! 

4. "I Get Wet" by Andrew WK

    Anybody remember this guy? I remember completing hating this artist and the song "Party Hard." As if Nu-Metal wasn't already perceived as a joke back then, then comes a creation of good marketing. ...oh yeah, and his album cover sucked too! Didn't your mother ever tell you that there is no gold up there so quit trying to dig!

5. "Dark Side of the Spoon" by Ministry 

    Speaking of spoon...Now there's something you don't want to spoon you at night. ...Look over your shoulder folks, the Dunce is after you!

6. "Eat 'em and Smile" by David Lee Roth

    Knowing Roth, we were supposed to take this one seriously...

7. "Milestones" by The Rolling Stones

    It is bad enough Mick Jagger looks like...well...Mick Jagger, but did we have to get possibly the most unflattering shot of him in existence?

8. "Generation Swine" by Motley Crue

    ...and I will leave this one as is...

9. "Pet Sounds" by The Beach Boys 

    We all wondered how they got the inspiration for making music that sounds like kangaroos getting anally raped...but I guess this is where we start...

10. "Hot Sex" by Vanilla Ice

    Wow, how the mighty have fallen? Aside from the skanky stripper who presumably listened to "Ice Ice Baby" when she was a kid, Vanilla Ice has this whole "I'm a sexy bad boy" look he's trying to do that I don't even think he is buying! Anyone remember when he covered himself on his big comeback album back in '97 Remember everyone, David's goes ding ding ding ding ding ding... ... ... ding ding ding ding ding ding... and his goes ding ding ding ding ding ding SHING! ... ding ding ding ding ding ding SHING! It is like totally different, man!

Thus concludes the special on Bad Album Art! Maybe someday I will open this back up. In the meantime, if you run into a bad album cover, or know of one, give me a heads up!
