Fun With Image Search #26 - Bad Album Art, Part 2

Welcome to Fun With Image Search #26! Once again, I am taking on a slightly different format this time around as I like to mix things up once in awhile. Don't worry, the classic format isn't going away forever as I am sure I will no doubt return to that within a few editions. I just wanted to have a little fun with this one.

This edition and probably at least the next one, I want to cover something we all love. That is music. Each and every one of us loves music. We have our favorite artists. When you follow your favorite artists, one of the most exciting moments is always the "new album." The new beats, singles, music videos, classics, and...THE ALBUM ART. Sometimes, we get an all-time classic. Sometimes, we get your average cover. Then...we get tragedies. This edition covers those absolute tragedies of album covers.

In a search for bad album art, I found it difficult because you seem to get the same ten covers on each web page. So, I want to show you something different. I recently started this as a forum topic about two months ago and got some great submissions. I decided to add on to it. So, here are TEN bad album covers! Not the top ten, by any means, just ten, and in no particular order!

1. {jgbox linktext:=["Be A Man" by The Macho Man Randy Savage]} From WikiPedia.org... Be a Man is a hip hop album released on October 7, 2003 featuring professional wrestler "Macho Man" Randy Savage. Among the tracks, the album features a song where Savage makes fun of Hulk Hogan along with a tribute song to Curt Hennig. His album was met with scathing reviews; according to a review by Dan Aquilante of the New York Post, his album "defies the laws of physics by blowing and sucking at the same time." Another critic described the vocals as sounding like "Nick Nolte after a whiskey and sandpaper binge."{/jgbox}

    When an attempt to be "bad ass" ends up being "horrible gay porn."

2. "Animal Magnetism" by The Scorpions

    You got a dog. A woman on her knees. A guy strectched out with his hand in his backpocket...holding a beer in his hand. Is it inneundo? Then if so...WHAT?! Blowjob? Bestiality? Object insertion? WHAT IS THIS?!

3. "Waking and Dreaming" by Orleans

    Somebody got fired over this one, I can assure you that..

4. "High n Dry" by Def Leppard

    Okay, even though I'm a big Lep fan and I do like this album...I never got this cover, and I have only been trying to figure it out for 17+ years...no biggie. I can only assume diving into a pool or he is floating above a pool (hence "High 'n' Dry")...and the fuck is the deal with the heads? WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING AT?!

5. "Greatest Hits" by Alice in Chains

    When art does not became abstract but rather obvious and rather disgustingly weird.

6. "Macho Man" by The Village People

    This one makes it by default.

7. "Metal Magic" by Pantera

    Back before Pantera became the Groove Metal band with a southern edge...there were the glam days.

8. "Jump On It" by Montrose

    Wow...quite subtle...

9. "Caribou" by Elton John

    Somewhere... a gay guy is crying.

10. "Open Up and Say… Ahh!" by Poison

    This originally was censored for indecency. Personally...I think it should be censored because it sucks...
