RJ45 Reviews: Killswitch Engage's "As Daylight Dies" and Rob Zombie's "Educated Horses"

The year is 1999. I, myself, a 15 year old, had been out of the music loop for at least four years. It was a quiet day in remedial math class. Our teacher knew that one of us a CD that he could play while we were studying. Well, we thought this might had been a trick since it was against the rules. After he threatened to put his Foreigner CD in...here came one of my classmates with Rob Zombie's "Hellbilly Deluxe." That CD changed my life. I fell in love with it, and fell in love with music all over again.

So I went back and learned everything there was to know about Rob Zombie. The great thing is that he was not about depressing music. He was mostly a satire on Satanism and sings generally about monsters, liquor, and drag racing. I got ahold of the majority of the White Zombie catalog and loved all of the songs.

In 2001, I was slightly dissapointed with the "Sinister Urge" outting. I just felt that it didn't quite live up to what Hellbilly Deluxe was. Despite that, I still loved "Feel So Numb," "Never Gonna Stop," and "House of a 1000 Corpses."

This newsletter basically highlights the best (best meaning worst) situation that we experienced while doing Customer Service. It is open to any call center, website, company, job, etc that involves you and a customer (whether internal or external). So if you got a buddy who does customer service somewhere else, that person's submissions are always welcome.

Just as a reminder, the newsletter censors customers information, and does not supply any potential privacy invasive information. I am basically doing my best to avoid breaking the ethical rules in which we are all bound by. Hey, the materials provided in and of themselves are pretty damn hilarious.

In Defense of: Journey, Part 1

Yes, I admit it, I am a 22 year old male. The year is 2006 and one of my top 10 favorite bands is Journey. I grew up listening to this band. These are songs that I have been singing and dancing to since I was a baby. Living my life as a person who feels pretty much robbed of his childhood, listening to Journey brings me apart of the little childhood that I did experience.

Although most people are cool about it, I get a few people are pretty defiant to my choosing of listening to Journey and Pantera in the same playlist. Journey is what is called Corporate Rock, or its more politically correct term...Anthem Rock. So, I have heard that Journey is "chosen by a corporation whose indviduals aren't talented and were just found off of the street." (Was told this by an individual who shall remain nameless)

That's where I object.

LOLHorror 2008

It is time to kick off October on WYLFWT.com!

Last year, we did our HUGELY successful LOLHorror on
Halloween. People are still visiting it and the some of the pictures are being used all over the internet. Our particularly popular ones were Jason and Leatherface. WYLFWT.com is a website all about giving the people more of what they like, and that is why we are going to try to make LOLHorror our yearly October tradition! If I get enough requests, I'll go ahead and do another 2008 LOLHorror post on Halloween, but only if I get requests. (I'd hate to burn you all out!)

This year, our primary theme focus is going to be on infamous horror movie scenes, but there are a couple that don't fit the theme (those are just infamous for one reason or another). Like all other LOL Macros from both all over the internet and admittedly WYLFWT.com, some are going to be hilarious, some are anti-hilarious. That's just how it works out.

So, here we go!

Def Leppard - Photograph Probably my earliest memory of music, along with Dire Straits - Money for Nothing. So as you can guess it’s a bit of a classic I like to listen to every now and then.

Millencolin - Montego My favourite Swedish band (like I know of any others…). This one is very aggressive and just is just great to have on if you are angry or stressed out.

Classic Fries has returned after taking the summer off for the Pop Culture / Blogs / Recipes consolidation project.

Now... for those who do not remember...

Every Saturday or Sunday, we will pull something from The Museum and reprint it for those to enjoy! This gives those a chance who never got a chance to read it the first time a second chance, since the Museum itself is so large and its hard for anyone to decide where to begin.

We are continuing with the very popular resource known as 2D Gaming Central. With the advent of Wii's Virtual Console, here is a brief and slightly outdated history of the NeoGeo!

NOTE: THIS WAS WRITTEN IN 2002. THE NEOGEO SYSTEM WAS OFFICIALLY DISCONTINUED IN 2004

SNK had been producing games for the Nintendo in the 1980s. Some examples of this would Ikari Warriors or Crystalis. However, SNK wanted more. So in 1989 SNK produced the Neo Geo MVS or Multi-Video System.

25 Things We Learned From Eagle Eye

Last Friday, I saw the film Eagle Eye. I am going to tell you this right now, don't fucking see this movie.

I went to go see this movie based off of a few things:

- Shia LeBeauf is one of my favorite new actors to break out in the past couple of years. He was great in Transformers, and took what would have been just an average movie in Disturbia and turned it into something worth watching.

- I was interested in seeing Billy Bob Thorton do something than being the usual middle-aged sleasy alcoholic that he generally plays.

- The trailers looked intriguing. (Yeah, I know! They are supposed to look intriguing!)

- Steven Spielberg was attached to the movie.

So, I saw that it had potential. I don't like to read critic reviews of movies before I see them because I don't want them to cloud my judgement. In retrospect, I probably should have checked them out.

Well, my name is Dan and I started a production 'company' back in 2005 when I first started making "flash" (and i use the term flash loosely here). The company was originally called 'Tetherknife Productions" a name made up when I was bored and coming up with original ways to commit suicide. After this I made 2 movies of which we will not discuss. After a while of no movie making me and Cam made a movie called 'Ballroom Blitz.' This is a poorly made lip-syncing video. I got some good comments on it, so we did another one called 99 Problems. This one was made with more people (Nate, Seth, Bennett), and same as before we got some good comments about it.

I've been reading a lot of fanfic this morning, and I've compiled a list of 5 common things that bother me in Slash fanfic. "Slash fanfic" is fan fiction that involves male homosexual relationships.

So, without further ado, here they are.

I don't mean like: "I love you."
"I love you too."
The end.

That's fine. I've seen gay men ,who you would never guess as gay, have this exchange.

No, what I'm talking about is that sappy romance novel type of declaration. The wind blowing their hair, the candles lit, Whitney Houston (before she went batshit crazy) playing in the background.

They are men, ladies, they don't do that shit! Please stop writing it.

Many American’s woke up this Monday morning, September 22, 2008, with a sense of relief. They woke up secure in the knowledge that their 401K accounts would not suffer huge losses in the coming days. Woke up comforted by the fact that their job is once again, for at least the short term, secure. But they woke up to something else as well. Something that, perhaps isn’t quite so obvious to the casual observer. Something that happened so gradually, and silently, that most still can’t see the reality of its obvious existence. What everybody in America woke up to today was the undeniable certainty that we now live in a Socialist society.

However, throughout the past years many people have been watching, and paying attention to the storm clouds building on the horizon. These people have attempted in vain to express their concerns to others, even though ridicule and indifference was almost invariably the result of their efforts. In their urgency, they often came across as crazy, or absorbed in conspiracy theories. Some were even labeled as ‘Dangerous’. As it turns out though, the storm cloud that some of us saw growing has now blocked out the bright sunlight of our Constitutional Republic.

There are many obvious games that should come out like Donkey Kong 64, Castlevania III, Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Resident Evil 2, the Final Fantasy games, and more.

However, there are several titles that I am sure the majority of consumers and probably the majority of the game producers haven't even thought of, or didn't give it too much thought. I am covering 10 selections that I have made for this

10. Lemmings (NES, SNES, or Genesis)

OH NO! Lemmings is both an addicting and quite sadistic puzzle game where you must get a percentage of Lemmings home. It has been released for so many consoles and if I was to go with a specific port of this game, it would be the Genesis because it also includes some levels from "Oh No! More Lemmings!"

Patriotism Is More Than A Word........

I looked at the census report, and according to the Dept. of Commerce, there are 108.8 million households in the US as of 2007. Lets round up to 110 million just to be safe.

If the bailout the treasury and FED are proposing passes this weekend, we are looking at a total of AT LEAST 2.5 trillion in bailouts in the last 2 years. That doesn’t include the massive losses that are almost sure to come from the government using tax money to invest in a failed real estate market (Fannie & Freddie) and ruined banking industry. Many of the country’s top economist believe the losses could easily reach 5 trillion in the coming years. But, let’s just stick with 2.5 trillion so we aren’t speculating.

If you do that math, that is $181,000 that the government could have given to every household in the United States of America.

Date Movie

**SPOILER WARNINGS ABOUND! DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ ANY SPOILERS YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!**

I just got done seeing Date Movie last night with the future Mrs. It is a spoof that is by 2 of the 6 creators of Scary Movie, it only begs one question..."Where are the other 4 writers?"

I admittely enjoy the Scary Movie series. I don't think its the holy grail of spoofs, but in terms where Date Movie lies, the Scary Movies looks like the Loird of the Rings trilogy in comparison.

First of all, the movie is full of bad toilet humor. Ranging from the absolutely disgusting scene in makeover scene, to the disgusting Zit scene, and then to the disgusting basketball hairball scene with Eddie Griffith & "That one guy that shows everywhere but nobody knows his name" (Fred Willard). Let me see how many times I can say "disgusting" within a span one paragraph.

Many of the jokes have the comic subtlety of a cat humping a dead body (which happens in the movie!). The movie will make an awful joke, and then it seems as if the movie actually pauses for your reaction.

Was This Review Helpful To You? #14: Wii Would Like to Play!

Your eyes do not deceive you, yes, it is a brand new edition of "Was This Review Helpful To You?" The last one I did was hastily slapped together last November. So, this one I put a little more thought into it.

For those unaware, Was This Review Helpful To You? makes fun of some of the reviews posted on Amazon.com. On Amazon.com, basically anyone that knows how to type can write a review. Some of them are pretty impressive and some of them are a complete joke. I,of course, pick out the complete joke of a review. They don't provide any information as to why they like or not like something. They go on totally unrelated to the actual product tangents (e.g. "Lars Ulrich is a greedy douche bag. Metallica's ...And Justice For All gets 1 Star!") The grammar may be horrible. It could be anything. If it totally taints a review, that is where I come in!

Recently, as some of my readers know, I got a Nintendo Wii. WOO! Well, now I am doing research on what games have gotten overwhelming good reviews, and find out why games that got negative reviews got those reviews.

So, I went to Amazon.com because you get a good mixture of both hardcore gamers and casual gamers. I used to be a hardcore gamer, but I've fallen to kind of in the middle over the years for my own personal sanity's sake.

However, doing my research, after finding the Wii Fit review that you will be seeing, I got inspiration to compile a new edition of this column! So here we go!

Mario Kart Wii

this game suck By J. Bailey "MGB"

this game is the best game ever but it gets u so mad i played and beat all the cups besides 1 the lightning cup and i got so pissed off because every 5 seconds i get shot off a cliff and get in last so i broke the tv and the wii itself but i dont care because it is protected and i got another one. so overall this game is fun and besides i went to [...] and beat the game so screw u, u stupid game i just easily cheated. so buy this game but do not get into it because all u will do is get pissed and break something.

Bravo, though, for you awesome anger and impulse control. It rawks!

Although, I can say that Mario Kart Wii can get VERY frustrating, but its still a lot of fun.
