WW #1: ...or How I spent my life savings to better the Star Wars Galaxy

Hello all from the Land of Lucas. This is a first in a hopefully long line of posts from farranheit911, who is and always will be a very proud and knowledgeable Star Wars Geek!

I am entitling my posts Wampa Wednesday!, which you guessed it will be on Wednesday. This will be as regular as "I've got a bad feeling about this" in a Star Wars movie. If anyone wants to suggest topics, the more the merrier!

My first topic is going to come out of the gate strong. The constant and never-ending battle between fans of the Original Trilogy, and fans of the Prequel Trilogy. Now myself, I am proud to admit that I am what I like to call a Saga fan.

I like/love the PT, but have unyielding love for the OT. I have been fortunate enough to have been present at every Original Theatrical Release from 1977 - 2005. I grew up with Luke, Leia, Han Chewie, Obi-Wan and Darth Vader. An extended family that anyone should be lucky enough to have, IMHO.

From Jawas to Ewoks, from Wookies to Gamorrean Guards, even from Droids to Clones...Star Wars is always a subject of interest to me. I want to see what others think. Got a friend that talks you ears off about Star Wars? Send them here!

I can't seem to get enough about Star Wars. It is a main in my life, but not to the point of blocking out all other aspects of life mind you.

I will now post some of my favorite quotes from the Saga. In order of the movies from I - VI.

I - Darth Maul: At last we will reveal ourselves to the Jedi. At last we will have revenge.
I - Yoda: Everything! Fear is the path to the dark side. Fear leads to anger. Anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering. I sense much fear in you.

II - Anakin: I wasn't strong enough to save you mum. I wasn't strong enough, but I promise I won't fail again.
II - Obi-Wan: If you spent as much time practicing your saber techniques as you did your wit, you'd rival Master Yoda as a swordsman.

III - Senator Palpatine: Be careful of the Jedi, Anakin. Only through me can you achieve a power greater than any Jedi. Learn the Dark Side of the Force and you will save your wife from certain death.

IV - Princess Leia: Will somebody get this walking carpet out of my way?

V - C-3PO: Sir, the possibility of successfully navigating an asteroid field is approximately 3,720 to 1.
V - Darth Vader: The force is with you young Skywalker, but you are not a Jedi yet.

The last movie deserves 3 quotes that are a conversation between Luke and Han on the planet Tattooine...
VI - Han: I think my eyes are getting better. Now instead of a big dark blur, I see a big bright blur.
VI - Luke: There's nothing to see. I used to live here, you know.
VI - Han: You're gonna die here, you know.
