WAMPA! #6 - The Galactic Era

            Alrighty folks, fresh from the Vaparators, straight to your plate….it’s another heaping helping of Wampa Wednesdays!  This week we embark into an era long gone by in the Star Wars Universe, The Galactic Era!  In a time when the edges were a bit rougher, the shine of the stars were a bit less lackluster, and the droids weren’t as polished and well kept as they had been.  

            We all know what transpired during the Galactic Era for the most part.  We all know that Luke, Leia and Han Solo saved the galaxy along with the Rebel Alliance and a man once known as Anakin Skywalker, who I felt truly brought balance to the force the day he throttled the Emperor into that deep, cold chasm. 

            Now, I should say I don’t want to ruin it for most of you, but this actually might be a fact that most of you know. 

            A few years after the Battle of Endor, from this point, we will call it the BoE, Luke learned that The Emperor had returned to a cloned body on Coruscant, and since he wanted to put an end to the tyranny of Palpatine, he went as far as to fall to the Dark Side of the Force and followed The Emperor, only to destroy his remaining clone bodies and bring an end to any future instances.  The reason that I am covering this subject is that this is actually the end of the Galactic Era as a whole. 

            The next major evolution in the Star Wars Universe was the birth of the New Jedi Order.  This shows Luke Skywalker as a major member of the New Jedi Council, and leader of the New Rebel Alliance.  He spent many years training Jedi young and old.  He actually trained 3 very important Jedi from a young age.  Jacen, Jaina and Anakin Solo.  The last name of these three Jedi will sound familiar to everyone, as these are the offspring of  Han and Leia, who of course got married after The Truce at Bakura, which incidentally happened about two years after the BoE. 

            The New Jedi Order was actually in the New Republic Era.  I should have mentioned that earlier.  I had a small brain lapse and was reminded when I was doing some searching online for some light reading.  In the next few weeks, if there is anything you guys want to see…let me know!  I am always open to ideas, not that I have run out of my own, but just to see what other people want to see written and posted in Wampa Wednesdays.  Just let me know and I will get it in print.
