WAMPA! #11

November, 26th – 1700 hrs.

    Hello fellow Lucasites!  This is farranheit911 with another installment of WAMPA!  I realize it has been a while, but I have been putting in some long hours at work, and been busy at home getting ready for all the past holidays….well Halloween and Thanksgiving anyway.  I am at a crossroads as far as a subject, and will right this minute stall, and think of something to write about.

November 26th – 1900 hrs.

    Well, two hours later and still kind of unsure as to the path I should take, but I would like to talk about the Live-Action TV Series that Lucas and McCallum are toying with.  It will take place between ROTS (that is Revenge of the Sith for you noobs), and ANH (again for you noobs, that would be A New Hope).  It is, in my opinion the best thing to do as it is an 18 year span and a lot can happen in that amount of time.  I don’t have an official source or site that I have seen this on but I have read that the episodes will run at the hour mark.  Lucas and McCallum have said that they would like to run 100 episodes.  That is 100 hours of story that they have to work with.

    Now I know what you are asking yourself.  “Are there going to be any appearances by well-known characters from the saga?”  McCallum has not replied to this anywhere online or in any magazines, but Lucas said that he would like to use fresh faces with a possible cameo from time to time.  I like what he did with Dodonna and Mon Mothma in ROTS.  He used new actors in place of the old ones, for one…because the original actors, with no matter how much make-up, would still have looked old.  I think we will see a lot of EU (pay attention noobs, Expanded Universe) characters, and be introduced to some characters that have been seen briefly within the saga….a.k.a.: the Mos Espa location, and maybe early incarnations of the group of iconic aliens from the Mos Eisley cantina.  Momaw Nadon, Dr. Evazan & Ponda Bobba, even BoShek and Greedo.

    There are so many things that can be done with this live-action series.  With that though, there are also things that can be done to destroy the series   I really hope Lucas and McCallum go the right way with it.  I am going to end it there.  Let me know what you think…I would really appreciate the feedback and next time I will be writing about the next installment of the continuation of the Clone Wars animated series.  I will see if there is any information I can dig up and provide all you SW geeks out there.
