The Night-Mare

A nightmare cold
from silent myth
blacked coat, unearthly sight
this growing threat
beast of blight
presence of the horse
dark as night
muscles riple, from the hells
eyes red with pain
I hear the bells
do you hear the train?
chugging along, drums and flame
The nightmare black
cannot be tamed
he eats your heart
and brings the rain
he will shatter the walls
psychotic strength
from dark and deep
he will tread
crushing bones
hear him tread
ghostly cries
through the mist
the dark path, spiderwebs
the quaking ground from haunted wood
knocks you down, from where you stood
the earth belts, the dead cry
as legend speaks from and old sky
du dum dum, du dum dum
The nightmare moves, lingering hope finally dies
